UI Architect- JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Nextjs
The UI Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of sophisticated front-end solutions with a focus on micro frontend architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with micro frontends pattern and monorepo code organization, deep understanding of rendering strategies, headless CMS solutions (preferably Contentstack), and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, modular, and scalable UI solutions/frameworks.
Essential functions
Design and architect scalable, responsive, and accessible front-end solutions using micro frontend architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and front-end architecture designs.
Lead the development and implementation of micro frontend applications, ensuring best practices in component design, state management and performance.
Evaluate and implement appropriate rendering strategies (SSR, CSR, SSG, ISR) based on application requirements for performance, SEO, and user experience.
Design and implement integrations with headless CMS platforms to enable content management workflows while maintaining flexible front-end implementations.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to front-end development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
Establish patterns for cross-team collaboration, shared component libraries, and consistent user experiences across independently deployable micro frontends.
Develop strategies for handling micro frontend composition, routing, shared dependencies, and communication between modules.
Conduct regular reviews of existing UI implementations, identifying areas for improvement in performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for UI architecture, design systems, and implementation processes.
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and security best practices in all UI designs and implementations.
Qualifications
JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Nextjs
Extensive experience with micro frontend architecture patterns and implementation strategies
Solid understanding of modern front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite, Module Federation)
Expertise in various rendering approaches (SSR, CSR, SSG, ISR) and their performance implications
Experience with headless CMS platforms
Strong knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and metrics
Experience with component design systems and UI libraries
Expertise in state management solutions across micro frontend boundaries
Proficiency in front-end testing methodologies (unit, integration, E2E)
Experience with front-end monitoring and analytics implementation
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation techniques
Understanding of API design patterns and integration strategies
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for front-end applications
Familiarity with containerization and deployment strategies for micro frontends
Experience with design tokens and theming systems across distributed UIs
Understanding of authentication/authorization patterns in distributed front-end applications
Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Would be a plus
Preferably, the architect is expected to have hands-on experience with Contentstack CMS
