Senior Java Developer
We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team in Warsaw. In this role, you will work on secure payment backend systems and cryptographic functionality including PIN translation, MAC generation, and transaction decryption. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Java 21, microservices, Spring Boot, and HSM integrations (Thales/FutureX). You’ll collaborate closely with engineers to deliver clean, secure, and high-performance code.
Essential functions
Implement and maintain backend services for payment security
Work on PIN translation, MAC generation, and data decryption
Develop HSM command logic (Thales/FutureX)
Support transaction decryption use cases
Design and document service interfaces
Apply clean code and testing practices
Participate in technical discussions and code reviews
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Java development
Strong expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot, and microservices
Experience with REST APIs, MySQL, and secure code practices
Proven work with HSMs (Thales/FutureX) and cryptographic operations
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
Understanding of CI/CD, TDD/BDD, SOLID principles
Good English communication skills (B2+)
Would be a plus
Experience with Hazelcast, Kafka
Exposure to secure financial platforms or fintech environments
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
