Senior QA Automation Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to join a long-term project focused on building a scalable, microservices-based architecture for a modern enterprise platform. You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining robust automated test frameworks, ensuring coverage across API, UI, and end-to-end flows. This is a hands-on role with strong influence on the project’s quality strategy, tooling, and culture. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and DevOps engineers in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Essential functions
Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks (API, UI, E2E) using Java
Implement testing strategies that align with shift-left principles
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and quality at every stage
Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to integrate testing effectively
Support and mentor team members in test design and automation
Document automation architecture and test approaches in Confluence
Monitor test coverage, stability, and performance over time
Qualifications
Proven experience in test automation using Java, JUnit/TestNG, REST-assured
Hands-on skills with Selenium/Selenide, Playwright, and UI test automation
Solid understanding of BDD tools like Cucumber or JBehave
Familiarity with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)
Experience testing in microservices architecture
Working knowledge of Docker and container-based environments
Fluent English and strong communication skills
Strong QA mindset with ability to collaborate closely with developers and analysts
Would be a plus
Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana
Familiarity with Kubernetes and DevOps practices
Experience with test design patterns and test data management
Passion for promoting a quality-first mindset within engineering teams
