About the session

Most Manufacturing and CPG enterprises don’t have an AI problem; they have a knowledge problem. The answers live in ERP, MES, PLM, WMS, quality logs, SOPs, and retailer POS feeds, but no system holds them together. That’s why AI stops at a recommendation a human still has to verify. Learn how to build a governed knowledge layer over the systems you already run, from the plant floor to the retail shelf, and how an AI harness on top of it lets agents make decisions you can trace, audit and stand behind.

Panel discussion

The conversation will focus on three core areas:

  • Data readiness & unstructured knowledge: How leaders define “good enough” data to deploy AI and which datasets to prioritize. The discussion covers how to capture tribal knowledge (SOPs, shift handovers, maintenance logs) without lengthy documentation projects, alongside tactics to resolve conflicting definitions across ERP, MES, WMS, and POS feeds.
  • Governance & trust: The essential guardrails needed before granting agents decision-making power. Panellists will explore data lineage, OT/IT security, and granular access controls, as well as the governance controls required to prevent costly operational errors.
  • Value, legacy systems, & business impact: Real-world examples of high-stakes decisions agents are making today, including line resequencing, lot holds, and trade spend allocation. Speakers will examine how teams handle rollbacks when AI makes a mistake, plus strategies for funding long-term data foundation work while under pressure to deliver immediate AI demos.
