Shiva Hariharaiyer is a senior leader in AWS’s Retail & Consumer Goods Industry team, where he specializes in advising Apparel & Footwear brands and Digital-first retailers. With over two decades of expertise in retail transformation, he brings a unique blend of technology innovation and deep industry experience. Before joining AWS in 2024, Shiva held executive positions leading technology, consulting and product teams across major retail functions including Digital Commerce, Store Operations, Merchandising and Marketing. His track record includes successful large-scale transformations with large retailers such as Gap Inc, JC Penney, Victoria’s Secret, Sysco Foods and Kroger. Highlighting his entrepreneurial spirit and innovation focus, Shiva co-founded an AI startup under the mentorship of renowned AI pioneer and Stanford Professor, Dr. Andrew Ng. This experience deepens his understanding of practical AI applications in Retail in today’s rapidly evolving world of technology. In his current role, Shiva partners with C-Suite retail executives to leverage Amazon’s and AWS’s cutting-edge technologies, particularly in AI & Machine Learning, helping them enhance customer relationships, accelerate innovation and drive business growth.

Naresh has over 8 years of development experience in the relatively nascent field of Deep Learning. He has worked with various Deep Learning solutions since before TensorFlow and PyTorch, building models on top of Theano/Caffe. He is currently focused on nimble, agile solutions to accelerate the recognition of value from Generative AI at Grid Dynamics. He has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from BITS Hyderabad and a Master’s in Business Analytics and Big Data from IE Business School. He has previously worked with different companies across fields like P&G, GE Healthcare, and his own startup, Untangle AI in the Explainable AI Space.
