Customer Support & Quality Operations Engineer
At Grid Dynamics we are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic Customer Support Analyst to join our dynamic and international team. This is a technically diverse position that goes beyond traditional support. The role blends elements of Quality Assurance, DevOps practices and basic software development. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys working with developer tools and wants to provide excellent support by communicating and solving technical problems.
Essential functions
Thoroughly investigate user issues to provide accurate bug localization and suggest workarounds if possible
Reproduce issues based on user reports
Provide technical support through ticketing systems
Handle inquiries coming from various channels (Website support forms, In-product user requests, Community forums, Social media)
Explore Java/Kotlin code in the repository to understand product behavior and trace potential sources of issues
Learn every aspect of the product
Deliver structured feedback from users to product teams, including Developers, Product Managers, and QA.
Collect project knowledge to share common answers and workarounds with external users
Communicate with project stakeholders, including developers, QAs, the marketing team, and others
Qualifications
At least 1-2 years of experience in providing technical support for software development tools, cloud services or AI-assisted technology
Basic coding skills, preferably in JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala); theoretical or hands-on experience is acceptable
Familiarity with one or a few popular IDEs
Experience with bug-tracking systems, such as YouTrack or Jira, and ticketing systems (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Jira Service Management, etc.)
Experience with OS administration on Linux, Windows, or macOS
Proficient in English, both written and spoken
Strong communication skills
Would be a plus
Understanding of version control systems, especially Git
Experience collecting and analyzing log files
Experience writing technical documentation and organizing a knowledge base
Familiarity with major operating systems, Bash, SSH, and SQL
Experience with AI tools for IDEs such as Github Copilot, JetBrains AI Assistant, or Cursor AI
Knowledge of network protocols
