Senior AI Engineer

Essential functions

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable AI agent infrastructure on Google Cloud using Vertex AI and Agentspace.

• Develop and enforce identity and access management (IAM) frameworks, including role-based access control (RBAC), least-privilege configurations, and cross-cloud alignment with Azure AD and Google Workspace.

• Participate in CI/CD automation, compliance checks, and continuous monitoring workflows.

• Review and stage custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) actions, ensuring safe and compliant model execution boundaries.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development skills (3.11+), including experience building middleware and SDKs.

• Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms, particularly Google Cloud and Vertex AI.

• Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks and tools (Agent Development Kit, Model Context Protocol).

• Experience working with scalable data storage solutions (BigQuery, AlloyDB, Firestore).

• Knowledge of workflow orchestration and event-driven systems (Apache Airflow, Google Pub/Sub).

• Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes-based platforms (GKE).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Agent Engine).

• Strong understanding of enterprise security and access control (Workload Identity Federation, IAM, RBAC, OPA, VPC, private endpoints).

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and security observability tools (Cloud Audit Logs, Splunk, Sentinel, Wiz, Chronicle).

Would be a plus

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform 1.5+), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and automated compliance gates.

• Knowledge of observability tools: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, LangSmith, and alerting integrations (PagerDuty).

• Understanding of policy-as-code and real-time policy enforcement.

• Experience with serverless and containerized environments (GKE, Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with security, SRE, and business developer teams.
