Senior Java Engineer with knowledge of Flink
Grid Dynamics is looking for a backend engineer with hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade software.
Essential functions
Developing and modifying backend Java code to implement new features and enhance existing functionality
Building integrations between the Combiner control plane and internal ASE services and platforms, including Cassandra, Kafka, and ACOS
Investigating and resolving production issues using Splunk and other monitoring and logging tools
Providing ongoing production support for systems and responding to incidents in a timely manner
Assisting customers in onboarding to the Combiner platform by understanding their use cases and guiding them through available tooling and capabilities
Qualifications
Strong Java development skills
Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases (Cassandra in particular)
Knowledge of Distributed systems design and architecture
Experience with Apache Flink is a significant plus
Strong communication skills
The candidate must be comfortable debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems and proposing actionable solutions under pressure
Availability for evening calls until 9-10 pm EEST
