We are actively seeking a Lead Teradata Engineer who is interested in joining our growing projects for one of the biggest IT companies. Come be a part of our bright engineering team. We offer open communication, empowerment, innovation, and a customer-centric culture.

You will be involved in the process of design and development of the Big Data ecosystem for gathering and analyzing data on customer behavior and getting business meaningful insights out of it. 


We are looking for someone to lead the team (leadership skills), great with performance tuning and also knows all of the tools in the environment really well so they can help drive roadmaps and coordinate an existing offshore team.

Software stack:
  • Teradata tools and utilities SQL Assistant, TD studio, Viewpoint, ARC, TARA, TPT load utilities, Fastload, MLoad, and TSET
  • SQL
  • Python, Shell
  • Google Cloud: BigQuery, Storage, DataProc, DataFlow, PubSub, BigTable
  • Airflow
  • Spark or Hadoop
  • Github
  • Leading Teradata and Big Data Teams 
  • Participate in the design and development of high-performance business applications, from requirements analysis to production
  • Constantly improve software quality (evaluate and incorporate new libraries, tools and technologies; code reviews; refactoring; testing; etc.)
  • Analyze and improve application performance
  • Search for simple and robust solutions to complex tasks
  • Work in an Agile methodology environment where innovation, teamwork, and creativity are the keys to success
  • Collaborate with a team of developers, QA engineers, analysts
  • 7+ Years as Teradata DBA
  • Experience in using Teradata tools and utilities SQL Assistant, TD studio, Viewpoint, ARC, TARA, TPT load utilities, Fastload, MLoad, and TSET
  • User management, space management and capacity planning
  • Excellent SQL knowledge with performance tuning
  • Data mover, workload management (TIWM/TASM), BAR (DSA)
  • Lead automation efforts for general DBA tasks using shell or python
  • Change and incident management skills required
  • Working with vendor on patch version OS upgrades and outages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment leading onshore and offshore associates
  • Flexible work schedule including on-call support
  • Teradata Cloud experience a plus
