Our customer is one of the largest sports footwear, apparel, accessories and services companies worldwide and it’s based on the West Coast, US. We develop a set of high-performance platform tools and mission-critical components in their inventory, order management and fulfillment ecosystem which is composed of 200+ micro-services deployed on the cloud. Our team is made of 15 and distributed across Krakow, PL, St Petersburg, RU, and Portland, USA.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and define acceptance criteria
  • Review and analyze functional requirements, identify and correct gaps and inconsistencies
  • Participate in designing test plans, testing framework, and functional test cases
  • Development and execution of automated functional tests
  • Continually improve software quality (evaluate and incorporate new tools and technologies; code reviews; etc.)
  • Design and implementation of a test automation framework
  • Configure and support CI test runs, collect metrics on test automation execution
  • Analyze test results and perform root cause analysis
  • Prepare demonstrations to customer teams
  • Collaboration with customer and teams in other locations
  • Analyze existing test processes and suggest improvements
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and quality metrics
  • Experience in automated testing (TestNg, Spring test framework)
  • Strong Java knowledge, understanding of general programming concepts
  • Analytical skills and experience in requirements analysis
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix-based operating systems (bash/ssh/ps/grep etc.)
  • Knowledge of fundamental data structures and algorithms
  • Understanding of microservice architecture concepts
  • Hands-on experience with QA engineer daily basis tools such as version control systems (Git), bug tracking systems (Jira), build systems (Maven)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery processes (Jenkins)
  • Excellent English writing skills are a must
Will be a plus:
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience in non-functional testing (performance, reliability, scalability, etc.)
  • Experience and understanding Netflix OSS (Eureka), AWS (DynamoDB, CloudWatch)
  • Experience in Splunk
  • Understanding of Spring framework concepts
  • Practical experience in building a test automation framework
  • Understanding of networking concepts
  • Experience with performance testing tools: Jmeter
  • Experience in software profiling and debugging
  • Python experience
  • Shell scripting skills
