Senior C++ Engineer – Machine Learning
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior C++ Engineer to join our team working on cutting-edge machine learning compiler technologies for CPUs and GPUs. This position is part of a project for a world-renowned high-tech company, focused on building and improving the infrastructure that enables large scale machine learning frameworks used across the industry. In this role, you will contribute to performance-critical systems, collaborate with open-source communities, and help build scalable compiler infrastructure that powers modern ML frameworks.
Essential functions
Design, develop, and optimize high-performance C++ code for ML compiler infrastructure
Contribute to and maintain open-source projects related to compilers and ML systems
Work with LLVM-based toolchains and compiler optimizations
Optimize ML workloads for CPU and GPU architectures with a strong focus on performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compiler solutions with ML frameworks
Review code, propose architectural improvements, and mentor other engineers when needed
Qualifications
Master-level proficiency in C++ with strong knowledge of modern C++ standards
Solid experience with LLVM and compiler internals
Deep understanding of CPU performance, including memory hierarchy, vectorization, and parallelism
Hands-on experience with open-source ML compilers targeting GPUs and/or CPUs
Familiarity with TensorFlow and JAX ecosystems
Proven experience working with GitHub and open-source development workflows
Would be a plus
Experience working in large-scale engineering environments (e.g., Google3 or similar monorepos)
Background in ML model optimization, graph transformations, or kernel fusion
Contributions to well-known open-source compiler or ML projects
Experience with performance profiling and low-level debugging tools
Knowledge of GPU architectures and optimization techniques
