Senior/Lead Python Engineer (ML/AI experience)
We are looking for a skilled Python ML/AI Engineer to join an innovative project team focused on building GenAI-powered systems from the ground up. You will work closely with engineers and data scientists in a dynamic, AI-first environment to develop intelligent solutions for streaming platforms using modern technologies like Kafka, LLMs, and cloud infrastructure.
Essential functions
Design and implement scalable AI/ML-powered applications
Develop backend services and data pipelines using Python and Kafka
Integrate LLM-based systems (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into real-world workflows
Build APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment (AWS or Azure)
Work with Data Scientists to bring GenAI models into production
Qualifications
5+ years of experience with a degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years building backend services and APIs in cloud-native environments
Strong coding skills in Python (preferred), Java, or Scala
Experience with scalable systems, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, and AWS/Azure
1+ year working with GenAI (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning)
Familiarity with tools like LangChain, Copilot, vector DBs, and agent orchestration
Comfortable in AI-first environments; hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git
