Data Analyst
Grid Dynamics is looking for a Data Analyst to join our team in Serbia. The role focuses on data migration, data modeling, and BI reporting solutions using GCP and Power BI, working closely with business and engineering stakeholders to deliver impactful insights.
Essential functions
Analyze and remediate gaps in the MI rebate process impacting revenue and profit margins.
Improve rebate issuance controls, upfront eligibility checks, and visibility of enrolled customers.
Design and implement reporting solutions to provide transparency on eligible/non-eligible customers, pricing profiles, and applied rebates using Power BI.
Migrate rebate registration to RAM and ensure accurate data flow to downstream systems.
Review and enhance mainframe replacement job calculations in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Ensure visibility of month-end sales data for commercial teams, as well as audit and compliance reporting.
Collaborate closely with business, data engineering, and BI teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and data-driven solutions.
Qualifications
Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements for BI dashboards, reports, and analytics, and translating them into technical specifications.
Strong process analysis skills with the ability to identify data-driven improvement opportunities.
Expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), KPI definition, and data validation.
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and reporting architectures.
Hands-on experience with data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
Experience with GCP data services (BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Dataplex, Data Fusion) and Power BI.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or Java).
Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
Experience with testing, QA processes, and supporting UAT.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Would be a plus
Familiarity with customer rebate, pricing, or margin reporting processes.
Previous experience in data migration or mainframe modernization projects.
