Max Martynov joined Grid Dynamics in 2008 with a mission to establish and lead their High-Performance Computing practice. Max has been leading engagements with a number of major technology and retail companies, including Microsoft, Macy’s, Kohl’s, and JCPenney. Over the last decade, his focus evolved from HPC and scalable distributed platforms to Digital Transformation, Cloud, BigData, DevOps, Microservices architecture, and AI.

Having gained my educational foundation in design and programming at Saint Vincent College in western Pennsylvania, I’ve since expanded my skills with experience in the online retail space. At American Eagle Outfitters, I’ve grown from initially developing promotional and marketing updates for AE.com to becoming a subject matter expert in core e-commerce functionalities, such as search and browse, navigation, and checkout components. Strong communication and collaboration skills have allowed me to become a leader and mentor to fellow developers. My interest and passion in the design and arts area also allows me to think creatively when problem-solving and foster positive working relationships with my cross-functional partners. My growing experience in the Customer Technology group at American Eagle Outfitters has put me on a path to management of the UI Engineering team. Day to day, I am responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of business initiatives through UI resource management, guiding UI engineers’ career development, assisting technical design to meet business and web development needs, accelerating the delivery of business value, and advocating for operational excellence.
