Senior Software Engineer

Essential functions

·      Build, maintain and log Spring (Boot, Cloud) Microservices using Java, in-house framework.

·      Integrate microservices with other enterprise services using REST, SOAP, message and file protocols.

·      Design and development of high-performance, high availability, high scalability business platforms using industry standard design patterns and best practices, from requirements analysis to production.

·      Profiling, logging and benchmarking different tools and subsystems.

·      Improve software quality by evaluating and incorporating new libraries, tools, and technologies.

·      Engage in code reviews, refactoring, and testing.

·      Create strategies to lower risks and increase application quality metrics by analyzing and looking into production problems and occurrences.

·      Work in an agile methodology environment.

·      Collaborate with a distributed team of developers, QA engineers, and analysts.

·      Various worksites—job may allow for remote work, job may involve relocation to anticipated or unanticipated locations across the United States, including client sites and Grid Dynamics’ offices throughout the United States and/or company headquarters located in San Ramon, CA.

Qualifications

·      High School Diploma or equivalent. Employer also requires an Oracle Certified Java SE 8 Programmer Certificate.

·      At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:

1.     Java platform and technologies

2.     Spring framework

3.     RDBMS (Oracle) database

4.     Unit and integration testing using Junit and Mockito

5.     Distributed architectures and scalability principles

Two years of experience must include at least ONE (1) year of experience with the following:

6.     Banking enterprise application development, working with IBM software environment

7.     Amazon Web Services
