Big Data Engineer

Essential functions
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
Ensure accurate data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation for business and analytical needs
Regularly monitor and optimize data processing workflows to ensure efficiency and reliability
Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain data accuracy
Document data workflows, system architecture, and code to support team collaboration and future scalability
Deploy and manage big data solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure, optimizing resource usage
Utilize cloud-native tools to enhance big data solution performance and scalability
Qualifications
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
Experience with big data frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
Experience with data storage solutions including HDFS, Apache Hive, and NoSQL databases
Experience with any of the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Advanced SQL skills and experience with databases like MySQL, Postgres, Redis, or Apache Cassandra
Confidence in CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Would be a plus
Solid experience with Cloud platforms
