Lead Quality Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer with 9+ years of professional experience in UI and API automation. In this role, you will drive our testing strategy across end-to-end, integration, performance, visual, and accessibility validation, and play a key role in maintaining industry-leading quality throughout the release lifecycle.
Essential functions
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for UI and API validation, covering E2E, integration, and performance scenarios.
Implement and lead test automation with Playwright for comprehensive coverage, including visual and snapshot-based testing.
Drive accessibility testing initiatives using leading automated tools.
Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure robust coverage and shifting quality left.
Author and maintain high-quality test cases and documentation in alignment with best practices.
Apply BDD principles and modern QA methodologies to design effective and maintainable tests.
Participate in the full release management process, contributing to code reviews and QA sign-offs.
Work with JavaScript and modern development workflows for test execution and scripting.
Utilize knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming patterns for effective automation design.
Support our cloud-based application landscape across GCP, Azure, or AWS.
Communicate effectively within cross-functional teams, with at least intermediate spoken English proficiency.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
9+ years in UI and API test automation.
Proven hands-on expertise with Playwright.
Experience with visual and snapshot testing for UI validation.
Demonstrated leadership in accessibility testing using automated tools.
Strong command of QA methodologies, documentation, and release lifecycle management.
Advanced skills in JavaScript and contemporary development workflows.
Solid understanding of BDD practices and QA tools/processes.
Familiarity with both OOP and functional programming paradigms.
Experience working in cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
Excellent collaboration skills and intermediate spoken English.
Would be a plus
- Jenkins or any CI/CD tool
- Cloud experience, preferably GCP
- Experience in ecommerce domains
