Data Scientist
We’re looking for Data Scientist to conduct research and development in NLP and computational linguistics, with a focus on designing robust evaluation metrics, pipelines, and methodologies for large-scale language models.
Essential functions
- Research and develop NLP models, with a focus on linguistic analysis and evaluation.
- Design, deploy, and maintain data pipelines to compute NLP evaluation metrics from large-scale, distributed datasets.
- Define and implement evaluation metrics for NLP models, ensuring robustness and alignment with linguistic principles.
- Define and implement sampling methods for evaluation based on statistics to ensure reliable model assessment.
- Develop and assess Large Language Model (LLM) features, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Conduct research in computational linguistics, contributing to top-tier conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP).
- Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation on methodologies, evaluation frameworks, and findings.
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product teams to integrate insights into production systems.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s with strong experience) in Computational Linguistics, NLP, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience developing NLP models and implementing scalable data pipelines (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Strong background in linguistic analysis, statistical modeling, and NLP evaluation.
- Proven track record of publishing research in top NLP conferences.
- Experience with LLM development and evaluation.
- Excellent technical writing and collaboration skills.
