About the Role
We’re looking for a Python QA Automation Engineer who loves clean code, modern tools, and solving complex problems. You’ll join a highly skilled engineering team building automation solutions for large-scale backend systems and tools used by millions of users worldwide. If you enjoy designing frameworks from scratch, diving deep into APIs, and working with cutting-edge cloud and data technologies — this role is for you.
About the Project
Our client is a global technology leader focused on advanced backend systems (Java, Oracle, AWS). Some internal dashboards and tools feature user interfaces that also require robust automated testing. You’ll be part of a collaborative E2E (End-to-End) Testing Team that ensures system reliability across multiple layers of infrastructure.
This is a hands-on engineering role where your testing expertise, coding skills, and attention to detail will make a real impact.
Essential functions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements gathering and test planning.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
Expand test coverage and ensure product stability and quality.
Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and report defects clearly.
Communicate effectively across distributed teams and time zones.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in automation testing.
Strong Python 3 skills (you’ll be writing real code daily).
Familiarity with Java (comfortable reading and understanding code).
Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR preferred).
Knowledge of Kafka and API testing.
Excellent English communication skills — this is a global, distributed team.
A proactive mindset: able to learn new domains, handle fragmented knowledge, and ask insightful questions.
Would be a plus
Experience building test frameworks from scratch.
Background in backend testing or data-driven systems.
