DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and support a major U.S. retail organization that is actively modernizing its digital and cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will help improve the software delivery process and work closely with development and QA teams on deployment and release operations.
You will contribute to building and maintaining CI/CD workflows built on Jenkins, support application delivery from GitLab to production, and collaborate on operating an internal portal used for deploying test environments on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes. Monitoring is handled through Prometheus and other observability tools.
This position offers a wide variety of tasks across multiple technical areas, giving you opportunities to learn, grow, and work hands-on with modern cloud-native technologies.
Essential functions
Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines built on Jenkins
Assist with application delivery from GitLab to production environments
Work closely with development and QA teams on deployment and release activities
Operate and improve internal tools for test environment deployments
Work with cloud-native infrastructure based on GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
Monitor and maintain system performance using Prometheus and related tools
Troubleshoot issues across the delivery pipeline and contribute to continuous improvements
Participate in shift-based operational support
Qualifications
Ability and readiness to work in shifts
Experience administering Linux/*NIX systems
Practical scripting skills (Bash or Python)
Understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices
Experience with Git or other version control systems
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
Basic experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
English language proficiency at least at an Intermediate level
Would be a plus
