We are partnering with a global financial institution to deliver a large, multi-team project focused on creating a cutting-edge cross-asset risk system. This is a unique opportunity for a senior-level developer to take ownership, influence architecture, and drive delivery on a strategic initiative.
About the Role:
As a Lead Java Developer, you will work closely with the client's lead to organize and prioritize work, implement testing best practices, and contribute to architectural decisions. Your expertise will help address challenges related to delivery and architecture, ensuring the success of this high-profile project.
Essential functions
Lead technical delivery within a multi-team environment, ensuring high standards and best practices.
Collaborate with the client's lead to organize and prioritize development tasks.
Drive testing strategies and quality assurance processes.
Contribute to architectural design and decision-making to optimize system performance and scalability.
Mentor and support other team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a senior developer, team lead, or technical lead, ideally within financial services or large-scale systems
Strong proficiency in Java
Experience working with cloud environments, specifically AWS, with extensive grid compute knowledge
Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and best practices
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Would be a plus
Familiarity with Kotlin
