QA Engineer (Team lead role)
We are looking for a QA Engineer (team lead) for a big chain of stores, which sells pet products, services, and more!
Essential functions
- Serve as the primary client-facing point of contact, clearly communicating QA status, risks, timelines, and outcomes.
- Lead and mentor the automation QA team, setting best practices, reviewing test strategies, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Define and own the automation test strategy, including framework selection, coverage goals, CI/CD integration, and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (product owners, developers, DevOps) to align quality goals with business requirements and release plans.
- Drive continuous improvement, optimizing automation processes, tools, and metrics to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Strong Java experience for building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks (UI and API testing).
Playwright experience.
Postman.
Hands-on GCP knowledge.
CI/CD automation experience, integrating tests into pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
API and microservices testing expertise, including REST validation and test data management.
Automation best practices leadership, ensuring code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
Would be a plus
