QA Engineer (Team lead role)

We are looking for a QA Engineer (team lead) for a big chain of stores, which sells pet products, services, and more!

Essential functions

  • Serve as the primary client-facing point of contact, clearly communicating QA status, risks, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor the automation QA team, setting best practices, reviewing test strategies, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Define and own the automation test strategy, including framework selection, coverage goals, CI/CD integration, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (product owners, developers, DevOps) to align quality goals with business requirements and release plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement, optimizing automation processes, tools, and metrics to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong Java experience for building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks (UI and API testing).

  • Playwright experience.

  • Postman.

  • Hands-on GCP knowledge.

  • CI/CD automation experience, integrating tests into pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

  • API and microservices testing expertise, including REST validation and test data management.

  • Automation best practices leadership, ensuring code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
