QA Engineer (Manual)
At Grid Dynamics we’re looking for an experienced Manual QA Engineer to lead data validation and quality assurance for a large-scale data migration program. This role is hands-on, with a strong focus on manual validation, SQL-driven testing, and readiness to leverage AI-generated tools for efficiency.
Essential functions
Lead end-to-end Data QA, focusing on meticulous manual checks of transformed data and reconciliation reports.
Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate record counts, aggregates, and data integrity between legacy and new environments.
Use AI-generated scripts (Python/SQL) for faster data comparison. Prior automation experience is a plus.
Verify Source-to-Target mapping with Data Architects to ensure transformation accuracy.
Oversee migration dry runs, document discrepancies, and coordinate fixes with the ETL team.
Produce auditable reports to prove complete and compliant data migration.
Qualifications
5+ years in QA, including in data migration, ETL/ELT, or data warehousing projects.
Experience in DB testing
Expert SQL (joins, subqueries, aggregations, data modeling).
Mix of manual + automated testing approaches.
Adaptability to adopt AI-driven validation tools.
Solid understanding of the data migration lifecycle (ETL).
